At BabySmartz we are dedicated to bringing you information on a wide variety of topics from pregnancy to childbirth to post delivery. We offer the advantages of keeping you informed on all of the new and safest products and, of course, some of the oldies but goodies that have been around for decades. A new baby brings many changes and we have some great plans to pamper mom and dad along the way. Our objective is to give our clients the highest level of individual service, so you can experience a peaceful and stress-free pregnancy. We work with the best in the business and we are constantly testing out new products for our parents keeping them up to date on all the new trends.

As busy moms of 4 children, we know how hard it can be to find the time to do all necessary work that is involved with the preparation of a newborn. Founders of BabySmartz, and sisters Tara Shagawat and Kate Windram have done it all when it comes to helping out their clients. Tara, a former Relationship Manager for a Financial Firm for 10 years, knows first-hand how hard it can be to balance work and family. The struggles you can face working long hours and traveling can take a toll on you when your pregnant. For more than a decade Kate has worked as an addictions therapist and brings to the team compassion and insight. BabySmartz was born when we learned we were both pregnant with 2nd child. Our desire to help other mothers is a passion we share and in return we see the joy a child brings to a new family.

How our nest has grown.

Over the years as BabySmartz has grown our original idea of giving back to young families what we learned has blossomed into so much more. When we decided to become a mom owned and operated business we had a mixture of excitement and nerves. In the beginning, we received so many questions like “What is a baby planner?” At that time baby planning was a budding business unfamiliar to most and the standard answer was “Have you ever heard of a wedding planner?” And we would go from there. But we have learned so much from the Baby industry and how it operates. Making relationships with all sides of the business. For example speaking with people who consult on what is safe and how the standards are developed for product safety. As things progressed we wanted to create a showcase for all things baby and toddler and The Premier Baby N Toddler Expo was born. The BabySmartz Team still operates with the early excitement we had at the beginning and looks forward to all the new families we meet, the products, books, services and so much more that we have the pleasure to work with.
